Recently the Food Co-Op of Park Slope made a decision to hold a referendum among their members to ban Israeli products. Here is the link with more info. ParkSlopeFoodCood.
It is very sad to hear such news, especially people whose goal is to sell products that are fair traded and organically grown. However, if they do plan to carry out that act, I am asking those of you to volunteer your time by standing next to their store and distribute flyers which will have info that Food Co-Op supports terrorism since they do not bother to touch other countries such as Saudi Arabia where practicing of other religions is strongly prohibited. Let us know who is interested to go. Meanwhile we wrote them a letter of our protest.

"To whom this may concern,
We are taking this opportunity to express our strong condemnation of your recent decision to ban Israeli products from your shelves. What you are allowing to happen is not only a biased act of anti-semitism, but it also constitutes an expression of support for Islamic terrorism. We strongly urge you to thoroughly research the history of Israel and the Jewish people, as well as the history of "Palestine" and the "Palestinians", who themselves openly admit to the fact that the term "Palestinians" is nothing but political propaganda intended to bring upon the destruction of Israel. If you take the time to look beyond the distortions of the media, you will find that Israel is by no means the aggressor - Israel is constantly attacked and harassed by murderous terrorists with no legitimate cause other than the baseless hatred that has been instilled in them through the hateful and baseless ideologies of Islam. Educate yourself about Islam, we urge you to read the Koran and see for yourself what it teaches, and then ask yourselves if this is the kind of ideology that Food Coop stands by.
You can rest assured that unless Food Coop reverses its decision and issues a public apology, this may just be one of the most regretful business decisions your company has ever made. Our organization works hand in hand with a number of nationally and internationally acclaimed organizations, political figures, and law enforcement officials to ensure that such expressions of hatred will not be tolerated by any means. We strongly urge you to do the right thing and reconsider your stance."
